In order to preserve Egypt’s environmental resources and support positive environmental initiatives the Egyptian Government has extended areas of marine parks. Starting from 27 November 2019 marine-reserve fees are collected for visiting diving sites of Ras Mohammed. The new cost of the national park fee (entrance ticket), it is 7 Euro per person per trip. These fees are to be paid upon check-out at the dive center. Funds received in the form of park fees from divers and snorkelers will be spent on environmental measures, aimed primarily at preserving the Red Sea.
