Who should take this course?
To qualify for training as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor, you must:
Be certified as a Divemaster or a PADI Assistant Instructor or be an instructor from another training organization (check with a PADI Course Director or Contact Us for qualifying credentials.)
Be certified as an Emergency First Response Instructor within 24 months
Be at least 18 years old
Be certified as a diver for at least six months
Have 100 logged dives
Be fit for diving and submit a Medical Statement (PDF) signed by a physician within 12 months prior the exam days is required.
Academic
Around 10 days the IDC teaches you to conduct all PADI core courses. You’ll be able to organize and present information, conduct skill development sessions and control open water dives. Basically, you become a better public speaker and get really good at demonstrating skills while watching out for student diver safety.
